Mark Bedner is a Sea Island and St. Simons luxury specialist.  Mark leverages his extensive relationship base and unparalleled market knowledge. 

Mark has an extensive background in both banking and real estate finance and development. His banking career began with Citicorp's International Banking Group in the Bank's Middle East/N. Africa division based in Dubai and concluded with the successful sale of The Merchant Bank of Atlanta where he was a co-founder, Chairman and CEO.

On retirement from banking Bedner relocated to the Georgia Coast and became a development partner in Barnes Plantation and Ocean Walk Condominiums and later as a senior financial advisor with Morgan Stanley, Synovus Wealth Mgmt. and Atlanta Capital Group.

He has had an equally storied public service career serving as Chairman of the Glynn County Board of Commissioners, Vice Chairman of the Southeast Georgia Health Systems and Trustee of the Community Foundation of Coastal Georgia. He is a two decade resident of St Simons Island, GA

Jacob also lives the coastal lifestyle with an active passion for the water. He has been boating since the age of twelve, and earned his USCG OUPV (“six-pack”) captain’s license in 2022. That lifelong, first-hand knowledge of the Golden Isles’ waterways, tides, channels, and marinas gives him a rare understanding of what makes a waterfront property truly functional for boating life.
